Carey Olsen boosts private equity outfit

Carey Olsen has expanded its corporate and finance team in Guernsey with the addition of private equity legal advisor Christopher Anderson.

Anderson, the sixth partner to join the team, provides private equity firms fund establishment, investment structuring, exits and regulatory services. 

Anderson brings with him prior experience working in Guernsey, having located to the island in 2002 to work for two local firms. He worked as a senior associate for Mourant Ozannes and then later as partner at rival firm Bedell Cristin beginning in 2007.

Before moving to Guernsey, Anderson worked for magic circle firm Clifford Chance from 1993 to 1998, later transitioning to Sydney-based law firm Clayton Utz to eventually become a senior associate.

Anderson’s appointment brings the number of partners in Carey Olsen’s Guernsey office to 16, and to 34 across the group.
