A Jefferies report shows that global secondaries market volume reached a H1 record at $57 billion, Rod James reports. The figure marks an $11 billion jump from H1 2021, which was the last record.
However, pricing mismatches between sellers and buyers have emerged as a market challenge, and it appears unlikely that volume will be high enough in H2 to make 2022 a record year.
