SEC announces DOE shakeup

SEC announces new DOE leadership.

The SEC has announced a big shakeup inside the DOE. The Acting Director Dan Kahl, who has been with the SEC for 21 years, is leaving the Commission. The new DOE acting director will be Richard Best, who serves as the director of the SEC’s New York Regional Office. Lara Shalov Mehraban will take over as the acting director of the NYRO.

“It has been a privilege to work on behalf of investors for more than 20 years at the SEC, and an honor to have the opportunity, most recently, to lead the Division of Examinations,” Kahl said in an SEC release.
