They’re hired: This week’s top people moves(2)

The IPEV has announced its new Board members, and Duff & Phelps appoints a new global senior advisor.

The International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation Board has appointed six new members.

Paul Cunningham of Helios Investment Partners becomes EMPEA representative and chairman, while Karla Bullard of Madison Dearborn Partners is the new American Investment Council representative. 3i’s Neil Harding will represent Invest Europe. Michael Weaver, who works for Sunsuper, is the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association representative.

Daniel Gregor of Allianz Capital Partners and Karin Lagerlund of HabourVest Partners also join the board.

The IPEV board works on industry best-practice valuation guidelines for private equity and venture capital firms and service providers.

In fund services news, Christian Mouillon has joined corporate finance and valuations advisor Duff & Phelps as its global senior advisor. He joins from professional services firm EY, where he was global vice-chairman. He will focus on growth in the firm’s valuation practice internationally and representing Duff & Phelps to professional associations and other regulatory bodies, the firm said in a press release.

Chuck Lowery has re-joined Alvarez & Marsal as a managing director of its private equity performance improvement practice, which he helped co-found in 2009. He will focus on expanding the firm’s private equity energy investor clientele. He joins from BearingPoint, a business consultancy firm.
