Virtual global tour of DC investment in PE rules

Not getting away this summer? This interactive map of global jurisdictions' regulations allowing defined contribution plans to invest in private equity is not going to make you feel better about that. But it is interesting!

Continuing on the recent coverage of the effects of the Department of Labor’s guidance on defined contribution plan investment into private equity, Alex Lynn has composed this interactive map, showing some of the other jurisdictions in the world that allow DC money into the asset class, with a brief overview of their rules.

So go ahead, whisk yourself off to Mexico for a guided tour of CERPIs, or stand in awe of Australia’s revised ASIC’s regime, which in attempting to clear up confusion about fees, has caused a fixation on how they are charged.
