Weil, Gotshal & Manges announces five new PE partners

The global law firm announced the addition of five private equity partners split between its New York, London, Paris and Munich offices.

Weil, Gotshal & Manges announced the promotion of Max Oppenheimer in London, Jenna McBain in New York, Manuel-Peter Fringer in Munich and Marc Lordonnois and Guillaume Bonnard in Paris to partners in the firm’s private equity group.

The international law firm promoted a total of 13 lawyers to partner firmwide, and 52 to counsel, effective January 1, 2021.

Weil’s private equity practice advises over 300 GPs worldwide, including nine out of the 10 largest global private equity firms on this year’s PEI 300, according to the firm.

The firm has been recognized at the British Legal Awards, where it was named “Private Equity Team of the Year” for its work advising the liquidators of Abraaj Investment Management Limited following its 2019 collapse.
