The compliance consulting firm made the hire as it becomes expands becomes more complex, according to an announcement.

ACA Global, a governance, risk and compliance consulting firm that announced a merger with former competitor Foreside at the end of May, has hired Neeraj Karhade as the CFO of the new entity, which will be called ACA.

The compliance consulting firm hired Karhade as it becomes “larger and more complex,” according to an announcement. Dave Metzger, the former CFO of ACA Compliance Group, is no longer with the company, though ACA declined to comment further about the timing and nature of his departure.

Karhade was most recently CFO at Transformco, a retailer created to acquire some of Sears Holdings’ assets after it filed for bankruptcy in 2018. Before that, he was at Silverline, which customizes Salesforce applications for business customers. There he led the finance department through the initial phases of the covid pandemic, and “help set up Silverline for its next stage of growth,” according to an announcement from ACA.

ACA’s merger with Foreside created “one of the largest providers of tech-enabled GRC solutions globally,” says the firm. Foreside’s distribution business will be rebranded as ACA Foreside, which will become a division of ACA.

At completion, the merger will result in a firm with more than 1,250 employees total and 18 offices globally, serving more than 6,300 clients. Terms weren’t disclosed.
