Kurlander will report to Jeff Diehl, the private markets firm’s head of investments, and sit on its executive committee.

The Chicago-based firm, with $58 billion under management, said its incoming CFO most recently worked at Pagaya Technologies, a lending securitization fintech, where he spent two years and also served as finance chief. Before that, Kurlander worked at hedge fund Citadel for four years, serving as deputy global treasurer.

Earlier in his career, Kurlander served in various roles at Goldman Sachs for 17 years. These included chief operating officer of Goldman’s US bank, and over at its corporate treasury department as head of funding and liquidity management.

Adams Street has had a busy November. Earlier this month, affiliate title Private Debt Investor reported that the firm held a $820 million final close for its Adams Street 2023 Global Fund Program.

The Global Fund Program targets private asset classes including primaries, secondaries, private credit, growth equity and co-investments, PDI added.
