AI-focused service provider fills exec roles with hires from ACA and SS&C unit

BlueFlame AI fills top roles including finance chief and information security head.

BlueFlame AI, a start-up that offers generative AI to sponsors to help with their workflows, has made four hires for its executive ranks, with three alumni of ACA Group and one from a division of SS&C.

The company, which launched earlier this year, said that it has brought on Justin Guthrie, former COO at ACA, as its chief financial and strategy officer. While at ACA, Guthrie presided over front- and back-office integrations, and worked in its Performance Services business, where he was involved in driving growth and two acquisitions.

Meanwhile, James Tedman is joining as head of information security and head of Europe.

Tedman joins from ACA, where he was a partner for its cybersecurity and privacy division. Tedman’s earlier background includes having worked as CTO at hedge fund Sloane Robinson and at Morgan Stanley.

Separately, BlueFlame added Mauri Lowery as director of executive operations. She was previously ACA’s senior manager of executive operations and internal communications – and prior to that, she worked at Gartner as manager of executive operations.

The company also named Michael Donnelly as head of client success. Donnelly, who joins with 16 years of related experience, most recently worked at SS&C unit Eze Software as senior director, global head of client success.
