AltamarCAM names new global CFO

The asset manager also created a senior financial committee to strengthen its financial department.

Spanish asset manager AltamarCAM Partners has appointed Álvaro Bachiller Ströhlein as its new global chief financial officer.

Bachiller Ströhlein will lead the corporate finance functions for all of AltamarCAM’s businesses and geographies. He reports to Elena González, co-COO of the firm.

Before joining AltamarCAM, Bachiller Ströhlein was director of corporate controlling and investor relations at automotive stamping company Gestamp, as well as acting financial director since January.

Bachiller Ströhlein previously served as executive director in the investment banking division at Goldman Sachs in Madrid until 2017, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions for Spain and Portugal.

He began his professional career at JP Morgan in London in 2009.

The firm also created a senior financial committee to reinforce its financial department. The new structure will strengthen the finance team and will allow Elena González to focus more on the strategic objectives and value creation initiatives of the firm in her additional capacity as head of the corporate development department, the firm said in a statement.

AltamarCAM has €17 billion in assets under management across offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Santiago, London and New York, with representative offices in Taipei and Vancouver.
