Apex Group looks to US expansion with lead hire

The new US head will lead the firm’s growing business and client development in the country.

Global financial services firm Apex Group has hired Krishna Prasad as its first head of US.

Prasad joined on March 7, and he is based in New York. He reports to Georges Archibald, managing director of the Americas.

He will be responsible for supporting the Group’s continued business and client development efforts in the US.

Prasad has more than 30 years’ experience in the alternative investments and fintech sectors. He was head of alternative investments at BBVA, head of operations for Deutsche Asset Management, and head of alternative investment products for TIAA, among other roles. Most recently, he served as founder of Kavery Advisors, an alternative investments and fintech advisory.

In August last year, Apex acquired GCG, a US provider of finance, accounting and human resources services to technology companies, venture capital and private equity funds. Apex founder and CEO Peter Hughes said at the time of the GCG acquisition that growth across the Americas is a strategic priority for the firm.
