Cadwalader starts 2024 with quartet of fund finance promotions

The promoted attorneys are based in the law firm’s Charlotte and London offices.

Cadwalader kicked off the new year with four promotions of fund finance attorneys based in the US and the UK.

Christopher Montgomery and Joseph Zeidner, who are in Charlotte, North Carolina, were each named as partners.

Montgomery has advised US banks of varying sizes, foreign banks and non-bank lenders. The law firm added that he is versed in subscription lines and hybrid loans.

Zeidner’s clients have included large US banks, foreign banks and non-bank financial institutions. Cadwalader added that he has been involved with sub lines, NAV loans, hybrids and other financial instruments.

In London, George Pelling and Tom Spinks were promoted to special counsel and counsel, respectively.

Pelling has represented both banks and fund managers. His work has included sub lines, NAV loans, hybrids and GP facilities, the law firm added.

Outside of fund finance, Pelling has advised clients on transactions for instruments such as syndicated bank loans and bond claims.

Spinks has advised banks and GPs alike. He is versed in sub lines, NAV loans and GP facilities.

Cadwalader also noted that Spinks has been involved with funds for both private equity, renewable energy and infrastructure, especially with the latter.
