Forum: Thoma to speak bright and early today

Thoma keynote moved to this morning; February cover story, with CD&R's Theresa Gore, to be published today

Agenda update: Carl Thoma’s keynote interview at the CFOs & COOs Forum in New York has been moved to 8:45 am EST this morning. Private Equity International senior editor Toby Mitchenall will be conducting the interview, and you don’t want to miss it. Thoma’s name is above the door of not one but two blue chip private equity brands. His current shop, Thoma Bravo, is the eighth largest in the world according to last year’s PEI 300.

February cover: Today, we’ll be publishing our February cover story based on an in-depth interview with Clayton, Dubilier & Rice CFO Theresa Gore. Keep an eye on your emails or visit our site to check that out later today. Gore, a 25-year veteran of CD&R, talks about updates to their back-office tech, ever-increasing LP demands, and tips for the next generation of finance and accounting.

Cocktails: While I hear Forum attendees were busy at last night’s drinks reception gazing into the political crystal ball that is 2020, I was drinking club soda (joyless January) with members of the Private Equity Regulatory Task Force, which was kind enough to invite me to post-roundtable drinks last night. I hope there will be more of these events to come (please, not in January) as continuing a dialogue with CFOs on developing topics is critical to our mission of helping you better navigate the myriad and complex issues you face.
