German GP also promotes pair to partner, including infrastructure boss.

Golding Capital Partners recently announced that Michael Braun has joined the firm as its next finance chief. Braun previously served as CFO and COO at BayernInvest and is credited with helping it become a “German ESG specialist” through operational and strategic changes.

Munich-based Golding noted that adding Braun is part of its aim of “expanding its expertise for sustainable growth in all areas of the company.”

The sponsor said Braun started on April 1 and is succeeding Andreas Rizos, who is leaving after the firm after 15 years “at his own request” in mid-2023.

Golding noted that Braun has a managerial record in finance of more than 15 years. He joined BayernInvest in 2017 and spent the prior five years as head of strategy at Bayerische Landesbank. The firm added that his track record includes service on various boards of directors, supervisory boards and management committees.

Golding also announced that it has elevated two executives to partner: Thilo Tecklenburg, who has been co-head of infrastructure since joining in 2021, and Dirk Homberg, who served as a managing director since 2018 and has been with the GP for over 15 years.
