Macquarie names APAC fund finance origination head

New origination head moves to Sydney to fill position previously held by Steven Mansy.

Macquarie Group’s Daniel Toblib will serve as its new head of fund finance origination for APAC. Toblib announced the move in a LinkedIn post, saying he’d moved to Sydney for the job.

Toblib spent more than five years in New York, where he was a vice president and worked on structuring.

The firm’s fund finance arm offers subscription lines and NAV financing, Toblib noted.

A person familiar with the changes told Private Funds CFO that Toblib is filling a position previously held by Steven Mansy, who became fund finance head for the EMEA region in February.

Macquarie won’t be filling Toblib’s former position because the related tasks can be divvied up among the structuring team, the person said.
