Ilkhani, who is arriving from White & Case, “brings with him deep experience advising private fund sponsors and institutional investors globally,” Proskauer said, adding that he has worked with clients in the US, Latin America and the Middle East.

Ilkhani has advised clients on steps for private funds including formation, placement and operations, the law firm said. He has been involved in several asset classes, Proskauer noted, including private equity, secondaries, infrastructure and real estate.

The law firm said Ilkhani is the second recent partner hire for its Investment Management practice following William MacGregor, a registered funds partner, in November.

In a statement, Chip Parsons, who co-chairs Proskauer’s corporate department, said the law firm has hired 10 partners this year.
