He joins Dechert from Davis Polk & Wardell, where he was counsel. Robertson also spent time as counsel at White & Case and as an associate at Goodwin Procter.

Robertson also previously worked in-house as assistant general counsel and vice-president at ING Financial Services.

This is the latest hire in Dechert’s major US private equity and private credit expansion. The firm recently hired Nicole Macarchuk to expand its capabilities in California. Macarchuk joined as a partner in Dechert’s private equity M&A and private credit teams in San Francisco.

Robertson’s hiring also follows the recent additions of leveraged finance partners Alon Goldberger, Ani Ravi and Soo-Ah Nah, as well as structured credit and collateralized loan obligations partner Jon Burke and asset finance and securitization partner Jay Southgate.
